1. Remove the splint from the packaging and select the correct hand roll size (small, medium or large)
2. Unfasten all hook and loop closures.
3. For extreme contracture, initially use the palmar T-bar without hand rolls. As the contracture weakens, add hand roll to increase palmar opening. To do so, slide hand rolls over the T-bar.
4. Assess the degree of wrist contracture. Bend the splint to the appropriate position to fit the degree of wrist contracture and/or deviation. Flex-E-Core is stiff to resist tone; bend as necessary.
5. Place the hand on the splint. Check the wrist to assure a proper fit. Re-adjust as necessary. Bend to conform to the forearm.
6. Fasten to hook and loop closure over the wrist (Strap 1). Check that the strap is secure but not too tight. Fasten hook and loop closure over the forearm (Strap 2). Check that it is secure but not too tight.
7. Fasten hook and loop closure over the fingers (Strap 3) Check that it is secure but not too tight
8. Asses the hand for adverse reactions frequently (every hour initially). Thereafter, remove the splint and asses the hand every day. 

• Covers: Remove cover from splint. Fasten all hook and loop closures. Place in mesh laundry bag provided. Machine wash at 40° 5. Air dry. Do not use heat .
• Flex-E-Core: Clean with a mild detergent and rinse thoroughly. Completely dry with a soft cloth
